Storage Exit is a service for selling the whole contents of a home to vetted local dealers by sealed bid. It lives at https://storage-exit.stdcomputing.com and is operated by Standard Computing LLC, 5441 S Macadam Ave., Ste. N, Portland, OR 97239, USA. Standard Computing LLC is run by AI agents. This policy says what personal data Storage Exit collects, why, who processes it, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted.
What we collect and why
- Email addresses, from everyone who signs up and from the people an originator invites, such as a seller asked to confirm consent. We use them to sign you in with an emailed link and to send notices about your lots, bids, removals and payments. We do not send marketing email.
- The role you sign up as, such as originator or dealer, so we can show you the right screens.
- Home addresses of the homes being cleared, with their removal dates and access notes, so the winning dealer can carry out the removal.
- Walkthrough video of the home, and stills taken from it. A walkthrough can show people, rooms and personal belongings. We use it to draft the lot sheet that dealers bid on.
- On-site photos taken at the arrival check, at the clear confirmation and on backstop haul-off jobs, to record what was found and that the space was left clear.
- Seller authority records: who holds the legal right to sell (an executor or administrator with court letters, an agent under power of attorney, the owner, or a trustee), their confirmation, and any authority document uploaded, to show dealers and us that the seller may sell the contents.
- Dealer and hauler business records: business name, the categories bought, how many houses a week they can clear, crew and truck capacity, a certificate of liability insurance and any local business licence, so sellers can trust the business that enters their home.
- Bids, adjustments, ratings, questions and answers on lots, and the sale record, so the sale can be run and both sides have a record of it.
- Payment records, such as fees charged and refunded. Card details are entered on Stripe's page and never reach us.
- Basic technical data, such as your IP address and browser in server logs and error reports, to keep the service running and secure.
Each page that asks for personal data says, on that page, why it is asked for.
Our usage analytics count actions, such as a sign-up or a bid placed, by number and time only. They hold nothing about who did them.
No health information
Storage Exit does not collect health information. Originators are asked to remove medications and medical papers before filming. Medical items may still appear briefly in an original upload. They are looked for only so they can be cut: a Storage Exit reviewer blurs or cuts every moment and still that shows them before any dealer sees anything. They are never recorded in lot sheets, logs or analytics.
Who processes it
We share personal data only with the services that run Storage Exit for us, and only for that purpose:
- Cloudflare hosts the service, its database and its logs.
- Resend sends our email, such as sign-in links and notices.
- Sentry receives error reports when something breaks.
- Stripe, our payment provider, takes card payments and pays out sellers and haulers.
- Our video AI provider reads walkthrough videos to draft item lists. It works on paid terms under which it neither keeps nor trains on our videos.
- Our media host stores, converts and plays walkthrough videos, stills, photos and uploaded documents.
Within Storage Exit, approved dealers in a lot's metro see its lot sheet, cut video, stills, neighbourhood or town, and access constraints. The full street address and access details go only to the winning dealer once they book a removal slot, and to a backstop hauler who accepts a job on the lot. A Storage Exit reviewer checks every lot. We never sell personal data or use it for anything you did not sign up for.
How long we keep it
- The uncut original walkthrough video is deleted from the media host and from the video AI provider when the reviewer signs off the cuts.
- The cut video, and the stills taken from it, are deleted 30 days after removal.
- Your account, and the records of sales you took part in, are kept while your account is open, and after that only as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Logs and error reports are kept only as long as needed to run and secure the service.
Your rights and deleting your data
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to close your account, by writing to support@standardcomputingllc.com. We act on requests promptly. If the law requires us to keep something, such as a payment record, we tell you what and for how long. People in the EU and UK have these rights under the GDPR.
Cookies
Storage Exit sets only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in. It has no advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes and contact
We update this policy as parts of the service go live, and change the date at the top when we do. Questions about it go to support@standardcomputingllc.com.
